LaunchBar not only searches for items with matching initial characters (SYS > System Preferences) or contained character sequences (PREF > System Preferences), but you can use any combination of characters, provided that they appear in the same order (SPF > System P re f erences). The built-in adaptive abbreviation search algorithm ignores spaces, so it is not necessary to enter them.
