Business Licenses

Business licenses are paid by the number of Unix workstations ("Seats") where Sharity is installed. Each workstation is limited to 20 simultaneous logins. If Sharity shall be used by more than 20 users on a single computer (e.g. on a login server), please get in contact with us for a special server license.

Upgrading from Sharity 2

Business licenses can be upgraded from Sharity 2 for a discounted price. To upgrade from Sharity 2, please dig out the original license key(s) from which you want to upgrade. You need the full 24 digit license key. The upgrade discount is half the original license costs of Sharity 2.

Example: An upgrade from a Sharity 2 "two clients" license (original price: 325) to a Sharity 3 "five seats" license (price: 720) costs 720.00 - 162.50 = 557.50.

Home Licenses

Home Licenses are paid by the number of Unix workstations ("Seats") where Sharity is installed. Technically, each computer is limited to 5 simultaneous logins. Home licenses may only be used in private, not for profit environments. If Sharity shall be used by more than 5 users on a single computer, you need to buy a business license, even for a home, not for profit environment.

Tax note to EU customers

For customers from the European Union, value added tax is added to all orders. Companies can purchase tax-free by providing their VAT registration number. For customers outside the EU, no VAT is added.

Since Objective Development is located in Austria, VAT registration number input is not required for Austrian customers. You get an invoice that’s qualified for input tax deduction.

Purchase Orders

If your company does not allow online payments or payment by wire transfer before delivery, you may send us your company purchase order. Make sure that it includes an email address where we can deliver the license key. If you are in the European Union, we need your VAT-ID number for tax-free delivery.

Please note that we do not sell physical goods, only licenses. All you receive from us is a license key. The software must be downloaded from our website.

What is a 5 Seat License?

When you buy a multi-seat license, you receive only one license key which may be used to install on multiple computers. The number of seats is the number of installations allowed.
